As a certified tourist guide, my aim is to draw attention to the sights, monuments, history, culture and small details that surround us. I see myself as a mediator between the visible traces of the past and the people who walk through these places today.
For me, a guided tour is more than a list of dates. History becomes vivid when it is connected with quotations, stories, places and people. This is exactly what I want to convey during my tours.
My range of tours shows a broad interest in Vienna, Lower Austria and Austrian cultural history. The programme includes districts of Vienna, historical places in Mödling, Brunn am Gebirge, Perchtoldsdorf, Maria Enzersdorf, Laxenburg and Wiener Neudorf. Historical personalities such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Ferdinand Raimund and Josef Schöffel also appear in the tour programme.
The topics range from local history and urban development to music, cemetery culture, Jewish history, architecture, medical history and everyday life. The focus is always on what can be discovered on site.
I offer guided walks and tours in Vienna and Lower Austria. The current catalogue includes tours on the four quarters of Vienna’s historic centre, the Hofburg, the Central Cemetery, Roman Vienna, Schönbrunn, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Mödling, Perchtoldsdorf, Brunn am Gebirge, Gumpoldskirchen, Laxenburg and other places.
I want participants to see more after a tour: façades, squares, monuments, churches, old routes, personalities and historical connections. A tour should sharpen the eye and show that history is not abstract, but remains visible all around us.
